Let's face it, in our current society there is not much room for emotional expression. This day and age has become all about the grind and instant gratification.
If you have a sense that there is a deeper side of life you are meant to live, this group may be for you. π
In this peer-led emotional processing group, we open a safe space for one another to talk, scream, cry, emote our true feelings in whatever way feels right. This group helps us heal the wound of not being seen, heard, valued, validated and understood.
Your feelings make a lot of sense. No they are not "too much". No they are not "irrelevant". Your emotions are important and this is a space where you can experience a new way of relating to this side of yourself and others, maybe for the first time. πΌ
This group will not tolerate any slander, abuse, unsolicited advice-giving, or any sort of behavior that does not align with empathy, understanding and compassion. Peer feedback is optional and strict guidelines will be spoken before we share to ensure the safety of the group. If there is any sense of unsafety please feel free to speak to me however you feel comfortable doing so.
If you've been missing true connection and fulfillment in your life, this may be the perfect place to begin opening up to what's possible for you. π
In each group, we will begin with a guided breathing for about 5 minutes and proceed with 5 minutes of journaling. After that, we will begin the sharing portion and allow for peer feedback if desired. This group meets weekly with a co-ed group and a women's group (looking for men to lead men's group in the future).
