Ladies! Let’s talk mental health. This shouldn’t be a taboo subject, and removing the stigma behind it starts with normalizing the conversation. It’s time for the local gals to band together to support one another, and get real about mental health issues! This peer support group is geared at young women with any form of mental illness. Join us every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month for conversation and inspiration as we all strive to be the best versions of ourselves throughout our mental illness journey!
My name is Michelle and I’m on my recovery adventure. I’m starting this group because I know I can’t be the only one around town who wants a space to talk openly and meet women like myself! Let’s make this bi-weekly meet-up into a community of women empowering and supporting other women!
This is a peer support group only. While talking to peers with similar experiences may be therapeutic, the ladies in this group are not licensed professionals. This group is meant to supplement one’s recovery, not replace recommended professional guidance.
Stop on by Monday the 16th of September for a meet and greet/first discussion! There will be coffee, water, and snacks provided (organic and vegan-friendly). This is a peer support meeting, geared towards 20s-30s aged women (but you won’t be asked your age, so don’t sweat it if you’re a little over/under the bill!). LGBTQ friendly and all ethnicities are strongly encouraged to join. Just be ready to hear about and/or talk mental illness!
