Fort Circle Trail / Fort Dupont Park - eMTB Lovers

Our inaugural ride will be on the only eMTB track in the District of Columbia. The track runs through four small national parks (Fort Mahan, Fort Chaplin, Fort Dupont, Fort Stanton).

This trail is for novice e-mountain bikers and experienced bikers who like to chill out and get some good exercise. We recommend that you bring good protection gear: knee, elbow padding, gloves, a helmet, safety glasses, and sturdy shoes.

Depending on the appetite of the group, we may bike up to 15 miles to explore trails in the parks.

With the recent changes related to bike use in the national park system, the superintendent for National Capital Parks-East has authorized the use of e-bikes on trails where traditional bicycles are allowed.

An e-bike is defined as a bike with fully operational pedals and an electric motor capacity of not more than 750 watts.
