Demonstration/Performance of Empathy Theater, hosted by Empathy Village, Berlin
Empathy Theater - where Nonviolent Communication (NVC) meets Improv Theater. We share, play and explore how both NVC and Improv Theater could inspire us to fully live and act from a playful collective presence.
Inviting curious minds and open hearts. No previous experience in NVC or Improv required.
Capacity: there are cushions, chairs, and a few sofas for seating. Up to 20 people may join in person. The performance will be Live Streamed at https://youtu.be/S1132e23aOU
Location: MOOS, rooftop space, at Moosdorfstr 7-9. From 5:30 to 6:00pm, there will be someone out front to direct you to the space. The show will promptly start at 6:00pm.
ACCESSIBILITY NOTE: unforuntely, the space is only accessible by stairs. message us if that is a barrier, and we can discuss options. the event is also being live streamed, but we'd love to have you in-person too.
Gift economy based: the performers are looking forward to sharing their time and presence with you, and they are open to receive financial gifts from 5-20 euro.
About the performers:
Richard and Susanne combine improv theater and nonviolent communication. With a playfulness that emerges from being fully present.
Susanne plays and teaches improv theater for over 20 years. In Berlin she is a regular member of “Theatersport Berlin”.
Richard is a human relations artist. He combines nonviolent communication, social presencing and empathy theater. His artistic work invites and celebrates human connection and connecting with planet earth.
Together Richard and Susanne host “Sofa Theater” - a form of theater that empathically and joyfully reflects in a heart-warming way stories from the audience.
