**Speaker #2: Dr. David Allen**
Dr. Allen is a board-certified expert in nuclear cardiology, cardiovascular medicine, and internal medicine. He leads the Heart Failure Clinic at St. Luke’s Heart & Vascular Center, where he specializes in treating and managing patients across all stages of congestive heart failure.
Passionate about empowering patients and their families, Dr. Allen focuses on education to help them become active participants in their own care—improving quality of life and reducing the need for repeated hospital stays.

A graduate of Temple University Hospital’s advanced heart failure and transplant fellowship, Dr. Allen brought the Ventricular Assist Device (VAD)—a life-saving mechanical pump for patients with weakened hearts—to St. Luke’s. He also specializes in pulmonary hypertension and established the region’s first Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic.
