Hi All,
This group is for all Ethiopian young girls and women in DC-Maryland-Virginia (DMV) metropolitan area. In this group, you will be reminded of your AUTHENTIC SELF and POWER. As empowering women and young girls appeals in the context of a number of issues, EEWG meetup covers various topics from economic to social, from professional to education-related, etc...with the aim that when women are empowered and gender equality is achieved, women can play a significant role in economic, social, and environmental issues not only on individual level but also in community level and beyond. EEWG believes that the group will be able to create such consciousness that each participant will leave feeling more confident, strong and supported. <br>The mission of EEWG’s meet-up is to strengthen independent voices of Ethiopian women by highlighting and examining different issues pertinent to their status in society. Also, to increase our strength socially, emotionally and professionally. <br>The meeting will provide a forum for participants to freely and openly discuss the different issues that impact women in Ethiopia and in the Diaspora. We will do fundraising and host creative events. Also, encouraging each other in building our confidence, self-love, and the power of femininity among all types of women. <br>Lastly, laughter, fun and girls talk.
