That's exactly why The Empty Chair exists.
The Empty Chair is a friendly, relaxed and inclusive social group in Plymouth, created for anyone who fancies meeting new people, making connections and enjoying a bit of company.
Whether you're new to Plymouth, looking to widen your social circle, have found yourself with more free time, or simply fancy doing something different with your Monday evening, you're very welcome.
This group is for everyone.
Men and women of all backgrounds are welcome. It's not a dating group, a men's group or a formal support group. It's simply a place where people can come together, have a chat, share a laugh and hopefully make a few new friends along the way.

I'm Greg, and I'll be hosting the gatherings each week. I'll be wearing orange, so you'll know exactly who to look for when you arrive!
You don't need to know anybody, bring a friend or have a particular reason for coming.
Just turn up, say hello and pull up a chair.
Because sometimes the hardest part of meeting new people is simply walking through the door. Let's make that a little easier.
