誰にでも、少し誰かと話したくなる時があります。
Sometimes, we all just want to talk to someone.
ただ同じ空間に誰かがいてほしい時もあります。
Sometimes, we simply don’t want to be alone.
Empty Chairs Japan は、そんな小さな人とのつながりのためのコミュニティです。
Empty Chairs Japan is a community for simple human connection.
この活動は、イギリスで Dean Perryman さんによって始められた Empty Chairs ムーブメント にインスピレーションを受けています。
This initiative is inspired by the original Empty Chairs movement started by Dean Perryman in the UK.
孤独を減らし、人と人が気軽につながれる場をつくるというその想いに共感し、日本でも同じような場をつくりたいと思いました。
We were moved by the idea of reducing loneliness through simple human connection and wanted to create a similar space in Japan.
ここは、ネットワーキングの場でも、何かを達成するイベントでもありません。
This is not a networking event, nor a place where you need to achieve anything.
無理に話す必要もありません。
There is no pressure to talk.
社交的である必要もありません。
You do not need to be outgoing.
日本語でも英語でも大丈夫です。
Japanese and English are both welcome.
スペイン語ももちろん歓迎です。
Spanish is absolutely welcome too.
その他の言語でも、翻訳アプリなどを使いながらでよければ大歓迎です。
Other languages are also welcome if you're happy to communicate with the help of translation apps.
少し会話をする。
