In the first meetup of the year we will have two talks by Nic Crane from Elucidata and Bodo Winter from the Universtity of Birmingham.
Once again, Digital Natives will host the meetup, doors open at 17:30 and presentations will start at 18:00.

Bodo Winter - What linguists do with R: In this talk Bodo will give a brief overview of some of the perhaps surprising ways in which statistics factor into language studies, and he will outline some of the unique challenges that analysts and statistics teachers face in this field.
The location of the meetup is room 0.17 of the Birmingham Innovation Campus (Holt Street, Birmingham B7 4BB). Drinks and food will be provided.
