Creating, monitoring & alerting Lambda (Online-only via Zoom)

DevOps Girls with the support from SEEK are hosting a virtual workshop on Creating, monitoring & alerting lambda!

Creating an application is not enough, you need to make sure you have enough monitoring and alerts in place to let you know when things are on fire.

By the end of the session, you'll be deploying your own AWS Lambda with error notifications sent through Slack.

What will you need:

• Access to your own AWS account
• Time to complete set-up steps prior to the workshop (This will be emailed to your 1 week before the event). We will also be available 1 hour before the workshop to help anyone with setup issues.

Who should attend?

• People in tech exploring how things tie together
• Anyone looking to add a new skill to their resume
• People in tech curious about AWS services and event driven architecture

By the end of the workshop, you should be able to:

• Create and deploy Lambda functions
• Create a Cloudwatch alarm for Lambda
• Creating and subscribing to an SNS Topic
• Create a Slack app to notify users of errors
• Be able to deploy everything using Serverless
