.NET PERTH IS BACK!

Under new management and open for business! Come join us for our relaunch event on June 5th at Spacecubed (45 St Georges Tce, Perth).

Come for a beer and a slice of pizza, meet fellow C#/.NET developers in Perth, share experiences and war stories.

We'll be holding the meetup on the first Tuesday of every month, and we're searching for speakers - if you have something to share, get in touch.

For our first event we'll have the following presentations:

1. Doug Paice: Docker 101 - an intro from a tinkerer.

Doug is Senior Technical Consultant at Diversus. He has been working in the Perth IT community for over 25 years as a developer, technical lead and Architect, mostly focusing on .Net based/related solutions.

2. Josh Michielsen: Getting started with ASP.NET Core 2.0 & Azure App Services

A live demonstration showcasing a deployment pipeline that takes an open-source ASP.NET Core 2.0 application (running on .NET Core 2) from Dev to Prod utilising Travis CI and Azure App Services.

Josh Michielsen is an IT professional, software developer, and DevOps practitioner with over 10 years of industry experience and a keen interest in computational science. He specialises in the areas of backend/infrastructure, continuous delivery, software development, and cloud operations. You'll currently find him herding devs at Bankwest, where he works as a DevOps Engineer.
