Moderator & Speaker Bios:

Alan Tsen;

is the Melbourne GM of Stone & Chalk - an independent, not-for-profit fintech hub which fosters and accelerates the development of world-leading fintech start-ups.

He is also currently the chair of FinTech Australia where he has led numerous submissions to government departments on digital currency and blockchain tech - including the removal of 'double GST' from digital currency and amendments to KYC/AML laws designed to incorporate digital currency.

Alan holds Bachelors degrees in Law and Commerce and a Masters degree in Commerce (Econ). He is also admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor in the state of Victoria.

Ben Hensman / Senior Associate;

Ben joined Square Peg's Melbourne office in 2016. He is passionate about software businesses and technology.

Prior to joining Square Peg, Ben was an Investment Analyst at Fidelity International in Sydney, covering investments in the telecommunications, media, software & technology sectors across A&NZ. Prior to that, he was an Analyst in Deloitte Brisbane's Corporate Finance team.

Ben holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Queensland and has completed the CFA Level 1.

Nick Baker

Nick is an investor at NAB Ventures, a venture capital fund focused on investing globally to support innovation and disruption in the financial services sector.

Prior to NAB Ventures, he was an investor with the Myer Family Investments, one of Australia’s premier investment houses, focused on investing in technology companies across both public and private markets. Nick is a former Investment Banker with Goldman Sachs in New York, working with some of the world’s leading technology companies.

Nick is a former World Champion rower with the Australian rowing team, and holds an MBA with honours from Cornell University.

Ariane Barker
Ariane is the CEO, Scale Investors and Board Director of the Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation.
