The purpose of life; Mind Heart Connection?

The purpose of life; Mind Heart Connection?

Details

We can & do live forever its scientifically agreed. Its understood we existed before our present life & will after we expire.

Its difficult to belief the meaninglessness of life. Everything we do is an invented meaning, is there any universal meaning in life?

Aristotle said, “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.”
Has this saying become more relevant in modern society?

The heart may have allot more to do with consciousness than we have previously thought. We’ve known it affects consciousness physically but it has a sort of consciousness of its own. Metaphorically, we all know what heart means, but there maybe allot more reality

"Educating the mind without educating the heart is the definition of a sociopath.

Without empathy you are not sane. Morality is thus neither a psychological or social construct but a direct outgrowth of this biological aspect of us.

We are intrinsically social creatures that require it.

Love is a multifaceted state that grows out of our capacity for empathy. Everything that gives life any meaning grows out of and/or is mostly composed of it.

Dedication, integrity, honour, true sincerity, courage etc.

Therefore nothing whatsoever we do has any worth whatsoever without Love being some kind of component somewhere.

Creativity & curiosity are required to propel this where it needs to go & of course it being based in empathy, in some kind of social context some of the time.

Perhaps the fundamental malaise of our times. Studies done on those who use social media a lot, show a 40% reduction in empathy.

The good news is that when forced to substitute face time instead, it returns in days. Introspection & self awareness (the most crucial aspects of sanity symbiotic with empathy) are thus degraded.

A substantial effort - that is actualized in real time, needs to be continually made in order to not be a part of the problem of all the ugliness of the world & know you are a key part of the solution.”

IT points to the ultimate universality of life & everything else. It will take some time to integrate, but the sincere attempt to surrender to doing so will make you wiser past all description & lead to joy & wonder (if you let it) in the most extraordinary places:

Lets explores an approach to the question “What is the purpose of life?” developed by the Greek Philosopher Aristotle (384-322 BC). How

Aristotle reasoned that just as artificial things (such as tools and workers) have characteristic capabilities with respect to which they are judged to be good or do well, so each kind of natural thing (including plants and humans) has characteristic capabilities with respect to which can be judged, objectively, to be good or do well. For plants and animals these mostly have to do with nutrition and reproduction, and in the case of animals, pleasure and pain. For humans, these vegetative and animal capabilities are necessary but not sufficient for our flourishing. Since reason and the use of language are the unique and highest capabilities of humans, the cultivation and exercise of intellectual friendships and partnerships, moral and political virtue, scientific knowledge and (above all) theoretical philosophy, was argued by Aristotle to be the ultimate purpose of human life.
