What we'll do

We're celebrating the Sydney Science Festival with a special meeting exploring the emerging technology that will help us face some of our biggest social and economic challenges.

We welcome special guest speaker Associate Professor Joe Khachan to speak about nuclear fusion power, the advances we've made and the barriers to progress, and Australia's role in it all.

The full list of topics and speakers is as follows:
• nuclear fusion (speaker: Joe Khachan)
• extending our healthy lifespan (speaker: Peter Xing)
• space exploration (speaker: Taha Khan)
• food security in the era of climate change (speaker: Andrea Leong)

Talks will start at 7.00pm, with some time for discussion before we end at 8.00pm.

There will be a short meeting of Science Party members from 6.30pm.

After the event we'll go to a nearby pub for dinner and to continue the conversation.
