Smart Cities & the Internet of Things (IoT)

Details
Imagine our devices, vehicles, homes and objects all communicating with each other. Could this be the future?
This month we are incredibly fortunate to have Jannat Maqbool, Director of the Smart Cities Council ANZ, join us for a Q&A on IoT & smart cities. The Smart Cities Council Australia New Zealand is part of the world's largest network of smart city practitioners and policymakers, accelerating sustainable outcomes in cities & towns.
We will also be joined by Adam Beck, the founding Executive Director of Smart Cities Council Australia New Zealand, an organisation that is part of the world's largest network of smart cities practitioners and policy makers who's goal is to make cities more liveable, workable, and sustainable. We advocate for the adoption of technology, data-driven decision making and intelligent design as an accelerator to sustainability outcomes in cities.
In 2020, almost all of us have some level of automation within the home, and these connected devices are now more affordable than ever. From our Bunnings Smart lighting to cheap Ebay security cameras, automatic blinds, water saving sprinklers, automatic pet feeders, robo vacuums and the good old garage doors. Almost everything can be digitally connected.
