#VROttawa: VR for HR

The applications of Virtual Reality (VR) in the field of Human Resources (HR) are emerging. From training to recruitment – VR is creating a paradigm shift and will become an integrated part of the HR repertoire of services going forward. As with any change, there will be learning and challenges along the way including legal, technical, and financial considerations - but VR applications and their potential to innovate an entire field of HR is not far from reality. Exactly how the technology will unfold and intersect with existing HR models and tools is evolving. The adoption of VR into HR will be determined by the needs of employers and workers informed by the multidisciplinary engagement between HR practitioners, education and technology experts. The purpose of this Meetup is to bring diverse experts together to discuss the emerging applications and challenges faced when using VR for HR. There will be a short presentation followed by VR demos and discussion.
