Macclesfield Forest and the Cheshire Matterhorn

8.5 Miles (13.7km) Shuttlingsloe described as the Cheshire Matterhorn rising to 605m, it does bear a resemblance to famous one in Zermatt. Much of the walk is across the former royal hunting ground of the Macclesfield forest, sparsely populated with isolated farms and rolling hills, wild and open moorland and rushing streams
