Informal Accessibility Tech Professional Mixer (Westside)
Magnuson Cafe and Brewery, 7801 62nd Ave NE, Seattle, wa, USJoin us for an informal group discussion about accessibility, technology, and community!
We will meet at Magnuson Cafe & Brewery. Please feel free to drop by anytime between 6:00 and 8:00. Look for A11ySea signs, we’ll also post in the meetup to describe which tables the group has grabbed.
Food: There are small snacks, salads, burgers, fish and chips, and milkshakes available.
Bus: Magnuson Cafe & Brewery is about a 0.5 mile walk from Sand Point Way NE & NE 77th St where the 62 and 75 buses stop.
Bike: Magnuson Cafe & Brewery is not far from the Burke-Gilman Trail.
Drive: The brewery sits adjacent to designated park parking lots near the outdoor patio area.This is an in person event. We are also planning an event for the Eastside area, please feel free to attend one or both, which ever works best for you.

Digital Accessibility Ethics Book Club Event

They are 4 of 39 authors of the new book Digital Accessibility Ethics: Disability Inclusion in All Things Tech. This event is being graciously hosted by Bryce Johnson at the Microsoft Inclusive Tech Lab.
Digital Accessibility Ethics: Disability Inclusion in All Things Tech is a multi-author guide that argues digital accessibility is fundamentally a matter of human rights and ethics rather than just a technical checklist or legal compliance. The goal is to help eliminate routine technological exclusion affecting 1.3 billion people worldwide who live with disabilities. Contributors consist of 39 disabled and non-disabled authors from 10 countries and one commonwealth, bringing over 600 years of combined advocacy, disability, and accessibility experience. The text introduces the Digital Accessibility Ethics Framework, an action-oriented, three-part system built around values, actions, and questions to challenge and dismantle patterns of exclusion.
