AI for Complex Network Analysis and prediction
Details
Asep Maulana, Ph.D., is a Lecturer at Padjadjaran University in Indonesia specializing in complex networks, machine learning, and graph neural networks (GNNs). He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Leiden University, focusing on many-objective optimization and complex network analysis. He later completed postdoctoral research at Tilburg University, working on anomaly detection in social interaction networks, and at Simula Research Laboratory in Norway, where he analyzed large-scale Twitter networks and developed predictive models using GNNs.
His current research interests focus on modeling, analyzing, and predicting large-scale graph structures, particularly related to human mobility patterns, using network science and graph machine learning. He also explores network-based methodologies in economics and financial systems. He has published in reputable journals and international conferences, collaborated with interdisciplinary research teams, and is actively involved in supervising student research and teaching courses in algorithms, discrete mathematics, artificial intelligence, and big data analytics.
