Beginners/Intermediate Social Tennis - Fridays @ Albert Park (6:00-8:00pm)

Intermediate level social session. Run by the Albert Park Hockey and Tennis Centre.

Cost: $22 per person (EFT payment) for 2 hours of tennis.

This session is designed for Intermediate- level tennis players who feel confident enough to play in some friendly doubles and singles matches on a Sunday! See below for Social Tennis rules.

This is a great opportunity to test your in-game skills without having to enter a proper competition. Tennis balls are provided. Please bring racquet if possible in order to avoid as much contact as possible

SOCIAL TENNIS RULES:
· Team up with another player to form a doubles team, Doubles only games
· 2 teams (a group of 4 players) play best of 8 games

• Each person serves twice
  · Deuce = one point only, ie. Sudden death point.
• The receivers can choose which player on their team to receive
  · If score is 4-4, both teams play a singular ‘golden point’ to determine the winner

ROTATION

1. Winners remain on the same court, Losers move to the next court up.

Court 1 goes to Court 2 goes to Court 4… etc.

Parking

Just a reminder if you are driving that it is paid parking within Albert Park. The casual parking rate is $6 flat rate after 5pm. Ticket machines accept coins (no change given - use exact money if possible) and also EFT. If you plan to attend this session/venue regularly we strongly recommend that you purchase a 6 month permit from Parks Victoria for $34.20.

Public Transport

The 96 tram runs down Canterbury Rd and you can get off at either stop 131 Fraser Street and walk forward or 132 St Kilda Station and walk back, both are about a 5-10 minute walk.

Alternately take St Kilda Road tram 16 to stop 132 at the intersection of Fitzroy St and Lakeside Drive, which is also a 5-10 minute walk from the courts.
