"I hope I will be able to confide everything to you... and I hope you'll be a great source of comfort and support.'
- The first entry in Anne Frank's diary.
Over the millennia, people from all walks of life have purported the benefits of journaling. Marcus Aurelius, one of the most well-known stoics, wrote in his journal often, the book now known as Meditations, to slow down his mind and focus on what was most important.
In this discussion, we may explore:
- Why do you journal? Why don't you journal?
- How has journaling helped you?
- How would you describe your journaling style?
- What journaling styles are there?
- Is the journal (book) itself important to you?
- What prompts do you use?
- What should prompts be aiming at?
- Are some prompts better than others?
This will be an open discussion where all members can share their perspectives, ask questions, and learn from one another.
If you are new, feel free to join in the discussion. We look forward to seeing you there :)
