Boston Indies
Boston Indies is a community of independent game developers in Massachusetts supporting hobbyists, professionals, artists, academics, and anyone else interested in the craft of game creation.
Our goals are to:
• Foster a sense of community among Boston’s independent game creators.
• Encourage creating games independent of large budgets and major corporations.
• Serve as a brain trust among local independent developers and create a positive environment for learning and getting critical feedback
We are completely agnostic with respect to technology, development platform, game type, and scope of game development. As long as you show up with an open mind, helpful attitude, and you are committed to making your own games, on your own terms, you are welcome to join us.

Non-BGD Event: Game Workers Conference
The Foundry Cambridge, 101 Rogers St Cambridge, MA 02142, Cambridge, MA, USJoin us for a watch party of the Game Workers Convention, a free, online game industry conference organized by the United Videogame Workers of CWA!
Taking place May 23rd from 12 pm - 5:30 pm at The Foundry in Shop Room 6, a short walk from the Kendall/MIT stop. The event is free and there will be snacks, drinks, swag, and plenty of great talks. Come hang out with fellow local game devs and learn how we can build a better industry together .

Game Audio Boston x AirCon In-Person Meetup (21+)
Flat Top Johnny's, 238 Main St, Cambridge, MA, USIt’s that time again that the ultimate online audio conference is upon us! And what better way to close it out than with an in-person meetup for audio pros and those aspiring to become ones from the Boston area and greater New England! We’ll be meeting at the same venue as last year: Flat Top Johnny’s, a fun bar with pool and arcade games, as well as plenty of food and drink options for purchase.
As our venue is a bar, attendants need to be 21+ years old and provide ID at the door.

Ever played Date Everything? Well this is like that except you'll be paired up with local streamers for lightning demo & interview rounds! (no actual speed dating at this event)
No demo? No worries! This event is also a regular meetup so come and be social, meet the locals you've only said hi to in the discord, network, and build new friendships!
BOBA will also be using this meetup to launch the Make-A-Wish MA & RI Creator ambassador program, if you are interested in applying before this event please reach out via email by May 10th.
