SYNOPSIS - Marvel’s THOR 2: THE DARK WORLD continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself.
In the aftermath of Marvel’s THOR and THE AVENGERS, Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos... but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.
THOR 2: THE DARK WORLD is based on Marvel’s classic superhero Thor, who first appeared in the comic book "Journey into Mystery" #83 in August, 1962.

BREAKFAST - Hog's Breath Cafe at 10:00am. It's very close to the cinema, and serves a nice range of meals at very reasonable prices. We're usually able to arrange a 20% discount off main courses.
MOVIE - Meet in the upstairs cinema foyer at 12:00pm (for 12:15pm session)
TICKETS - I've organized a discounted ticket price of $19 (the over-the-counter ticket price for 3D V-MAX is $23.50) - plus $1 for 3D glasses if you don't have a pair. You're most welcome to purchase your own ticket if you have a concession card. If you plan to buy your own ticket, be sure to check that it's for the 12:15pm 3D V-MAX session. We'll be sitting in Row 'H'.
EVENT HOST - AJ (Mobile:[masked])
PUBLIC TRANSPORT - Public transport to the cinema is very convenient. Please CLICK HERE for further information.
PARKING - Unfortunately, Garden City has introduced paid parking. The first 3 hours are free, but then the fees are very expensive. In fact, they're among the most expensive in Brisbane. If you're coming for breakfast, it's recommended that you exit the carpark and re-enter just before the movie starts. This will set the time clock back to zero, and help minimize hefty parking fees.
