Come join us on a Sunday (Best Day of the Week for Climbing) for a SPRING climbing bonanza at Werribee Gorge!!
This trip is perfect for everyone and will accommodate all abilities! There will be climbs appropriate for never-touched-a-real-rock type beginners, intermediate shredders or those who adore crack climbing!!
Some lead climbing will also happen (for ROC check-off leaders only). Please mention in the comments if you plan to lead or stick to top-roping.
If you are a checked-off anchor setter and happy to set and/or check some anchors, please mention this in the comments or message me. I appreciate your time <3
Equipment required:
- Climbing helmet (bike/snowboard helmets are not acceptable!!!)
- Harness
- Climbing shoes
- Food for the day
- Water - there are no drinking taps at the crag
- Warm clothing (it is spring, but it is also Victoria, so plan to expect 4 seasons in one day lol)
- Raincoat/sunscreen, etc.
If you require any climbing items, you can hire them from the ROC gear room; you will need to organise it the week before the trip (the gear room is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays) - https://roc.org.au/how-we-work/how-to-hire-gear (https://roc.org.au/how-we-work/how-to-hire-gear/).
Trip costs:
Fuel: calculated and split between drivers/passengers after the trip
Gear hire: $10 a day for the hire of climbing gear
See you all there!
