Everyone is always welcome to join our events. Our community is all about creating authentic in-person connections in this urban jungle.

ABOUT THE EVENT
This will be a fun one! We won't actually go to Bali, sadly, but we will visit wonderful Bali-style places in Jakarta!

The setting is very simple: We will hang out for coffee and then head for dinner. Newcomers are particularly welcomed! We are a very friendly and inclusive community.

For newcomers and all who might need to know what to expect:
We first gather at 4 PM at Bali Coffee Club in Lebak Bulus, a lovely Bali-style caffee (@balicoffeeclub).

We will chit chat and get to know each other, have some great Balinese coffee. There's a lovely open terrace on top, spacious and quiet, with many tables. There's also plenty of air-co rooms where we can sit down and chill.

There's no strict arrival time (macet macet) and people are welcome to arrive anytime until around 5.00 PM...

..at which time we will see how many people want to go to dinner, and call for a reservation at our dinner venue... an authentic Bali-style chicken joint! It's a delicious, new place nearby called Warung Bali Pak Gede (@warungbalipakgede).

You don't want to miss this! Don't let a Bule "bulexplain" what Balinese chicken is, but let me tell you this: it's good. Real good. And good price yaa. Portions are abundant. There's a lovely non-smoking terrace, too. If you come by car, both places have abundant parking.

At around 5.30 PM we will move to the Balinese dinner place. It's only 10-minute distance by walk, so let's go by walk! Or go by car or Goride, if you feel like you won't have enough energy for dinner 😂 You choice!

🚨 If you arrive after 5.30 PM without letting us know that you want to join for dinner, too, you might not be able to get a spot at the table. 🚨 There's no split bill at Bali Warung so bring cash or be ready to do a transfer to the person who takes over the bill. 🚨 I'd recommend you to bring mosquite repellent with you.

ABOUT THE VENUES
Bali Coffee Club in Jaksel is a lovely and spacious area. Coffee is great. MRT Fatmawati stop is just 15 minutes walking distance.

HOW TO REGISTER TO THE EVENT?
To register, just click “Attend”! There are a few simple rules

• We kindly ask attendees who cannot manage to join to update RSVP at least 24 h before the event as a courtesy to other attendees and event organisers.
• Arrive anytime before 5 PM at Bali Coffee Club. If you want to join for dinner only, you'll need to let us know in the comment or on WhatsApp before 5 PM, so that we include you in the table reservation
• Dinner starts at around 6 PM
• Come alone of with a friend. Newcomers are most welcomed!
• People in the waitlist cannot attend, and are encouraged to check a few hours before the event if they got a spot
• Repeated no-show (3X) without updating RSVP will be removed from the group.

WE HAVE A MEMBERSHIP FEE. HOW DOES IT WORK?
Our community has a membership fee of 300k IDR valid for 365 days after payment. Membership fee is offered with a promo discount to new members and first-timers, who can become members for 220k IDR/year. First-timers can decide to attend one event for free and see if they like becoming part of this community.

Membership to both Jakarta Friends and Jakarta Creatives is offered for only 390k IDR/year. Membership gives access to all events plus exclusive perks available only to paying members, like for example our Give Away Birthday Celebrations with lucky draw (Sept 2024) or FREE pasta cooking (and eating 😉) workshop (Nov 2024) or Museum visits with FREE GUIDED TOURS (Sept 2024). To many events, attendees can bring a +1 for free.

First-timers can decide to attend one event for free and see if they like becoming part of this community. Membership can be paid on the spot (cash/bank transfer/Gopay). Text Corrado (+62 89211 489 3580) if you have any questions about membership.

To all members we guarantee to keep organizing plenty of events. You will receive a full refund if the group closes down, or if there’s no event happening in three months.
