We are the biggest, most active, and most inclusive MeetUp community in Jakarta...
...and we invite you to join us! Everyone is always welcome.
Jakarta Friends is the community to meet new people while doing unique activities in Jakarta. We play board games, talk business, socialize, eat and drink together, do language exchanges, explore the city by walking and culinary tours, and much more! It's all about authentic connections in an uncomplicated and informal setting.

Together, we are creating an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome. This group is a convergence of people and cultures.
Over the past 1,5 year, we have had more than 150 events with over 1,500 attendees. Everyone should always feel welcome to join disregarding from their ethnicity, nationality, religion, creed, age, language skills, gender identification, sexual orientation, background, ability, income, social status, or any other arbitrary trait.
From September 2024, we have a yearly membership fee to join our events. The membership fee is not expensive and gives access to all events + exclusive perks! There's so much more value to members than having an event fee. We guarantee keep organising plenty of events and the fee is refundable if the group closes down or if there are no events for more than three months. You can attend the first event for free and take a look!

Let's get together, have a chat, some drink, coffee, es teh manis, or whatever at BaronK in Kemang.BaronK is a simple, outdoor patio, Bali-style, with affordable drinks and food, and friendly staff. I'd say it comes very close to a German beer garden in term of atmosphere.
There is a live band on Friday starting from around 9 pm. No joint bill at the bar please - pay your own drinks and food as you order them.
If you don't drink alcohol no worries, there is also non-alcoholic beverages. Come alone or with friends or your better half. Walk through the entrance corridor, at the entrance, ask for "Reza" or "MeetUp group" to the staff.
No entry fee, minimum spending, obligatory table reservation, dress code, or other Jakarta madnesses.
BaronK has a covered patio too in case of rain. There is no possibility to reserve tables, unfortunately, so come early to get a spot.
There is no strict RSVP rule for this event, just come and go as you please. This is a FREE event for all members of Jakarta Friends.
As a courtesy to other members, please update your RSVP if you won't manage to come. Join us on Friday for a fun evening and meet old and new Jakarta Friends. Everyone is welcome.
Newcomers are particularly welcome! Come alone or with a friend or partner. There won't be a shared bill. Everyone will pay for what they consume.

ABOUT THE EVENT
It's Firday night! Let's have the most delicious Neapoletan pizza in Jakarta at Pizzeria Zapoli in Kemang. It's time to spend time in the right way, having dinner with strangers (a.k.a. soon to be new Jakarta Friends) without marketing bs ;-)Neapoletan pizza means soft dough and simple ingredients. The pizza is cooked in a typical wood-fire oven for just a few minutes, and the ingredients remain very fresh.
ABOUT THE VENUE
Here's their IG: https://instagram.com/zapoliThe menu isn't big; the quality is. Pizza starts at around 60k up to around 150k. Pizzeria Zapoli have artisanal soda which is refreshing with the salty, spicy pizza.
The place is 100% Halal. On their Instagram I read "no reservation" and "BYOB" (and your own glass with it). We might need to wait a bit to get a seat.
The restaurant closes at 10 pm and after dinner we can go together to have a drink in a place nearby (location to be decided together).
The place is small, and attendance to this event is limited to 6 persons. If you cannot join, please update your RSVP at least 24h before the event as respect to the organiser and people in the waitlist. No-shows will be kicked out of the group.
Be on time as we want to eat together. Do not be early as we want to eat together. Just come and enjoy the company of new and old Jakarta Friends. Everyone is welcome to join.
As no reservation is possible, we might need to wait a bit until a table big enough for us will be free. From experience, this should not take long.
HOW TO REGISTER TO THE EVENT?
To register, just click “Attend”! There are a few simple rules- We kindly ask attendees who cannot manage to join to update RSVP at least 24 h before the event as a courtesy to other attendees and event organisers.

Membership gives access to all events plus exclusive perks available only to paying members, like for example our Birthday Celebrations with lucky draws. To many events, attendees can bring a +1 for free.

ABOUT THE EVENT
Let's have dinner together at Lawless Burger in Menteng. They have burgers, hotdogs, fries, nachos, beers, milkshakes.Friday night is the time to chill. What better way than sitting together and making new friends in a friendly, informal setting? After burgers, we can walk and continue our evening at one of the many places nearby. We will choose together where to go depending on our mood.
Newcomers are particularly welcome! Come alone or with a friend or partner. There won't be a shared bill. Everyone will pay for what they consume.

ABOUT THE VENUE
Lawless is a very decent joint and there will be tables reserved for us. The price range for a burger and drink is about 100 IDR and up.- Let's meet directly at Lewless Menteng. There are tables reserved for us on the first floor (non-smoking area)
- Don't arrive earlier as the event starts at 8 PM
- Feel free to arrive later. The last order is at 10:30 PM. You can also join us after dinner if you prefer
- After burgers, we can go have a drink nearby. Text in the comment section if you want to find us later during the evening
- We encourage you to reach the event by public transportation. MRT stop Bundaran HI is about 10 minutes walking distance

Do names like Madja, KulturAle, Island of Imagination, Kura Kura, Tall Tales, Beer Belly, or Coffeebeerian ring a bell?If they don't, then this event is exactly for you... to discover something new! This is the DREAM EVENT for all beer lovers in Jakarta. Come to this discovery tour and meet locals and expats who share the passion for beer.
We will visit two unique beer bars in Jakarta (Beer Belly and Coffeebeerian) and try different beers. The event starts at 8 pm but feel free to join later.

They have some food and snacks, and are usually Ok with guests having food delivered with Gofood.Beer Belly is a new bar with very affordable beer on the bottle, can and tap, both local and imported. They also have refreshing, homemade coconut water on the menu.
After Beer Belly we will head to Coffeebeerian (https://www.instagram.com/cobejkt) which is just 5 minutes walking distance, and end our evening there. Coffeebeerian is the oldest craft beer bar in Jakarta. They have tasty food and a fantastic selection of tap (plus bottle/can) beers. It's spacious and lively on a Friday night.
