What we’re about
We are the official Amsterdam chapter of a global non-profit organization PyLadies and we create diversity and inclusion in technology. We welcome members of all Python proficiency levels no matter what label (gender, sexuality, race) society gave you. We highly encourage men to join our monthly workshops, currently attended by 90% of women and other less-represented groups in tech.
What we do differently:
• we use a hands-on approach: workshops, talks about practical experience, hackathons, bootcamps
• we go in-depth with one subject per event
• we provide a safe community space for marginalized genders who is interested in Python
Visit github.com/pyladiesams for the slides and code from all of our events.
Code of Conduct:

Participants asked to stop any harassing or bullying behavior are expected to comply immediately.
If a participant engages in harassing behavior, representatives of the community may take reasonable action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender, expulsion from any PyLadies event, or expulsion from mailing lists, IRC chats, discussion boards and other electronic communications channels to resolve the issue. This may include expulsion from PyLadies Meetup group membership.
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please act to intercede or ask for help from any member of the PyLadies community, IRC chat admins, website admins, or organizers/representatives of any physical events put on under the auspices of PyLadies.

Workshop
During this workshop, you will learn how to leverage the ScaleDown Python package to optimize AI prompts, reduce token usage, and minimize your AI applications' carbon footprint.
We'll explore practical techniques for creating structured templates, implementing model-specific optimizations, and measuring environmental impact. You'll gain hands-on experience with the package's key features while understanding how even small efficiency improvements can lead to significant cost savings and environmental benefits when adopted at scale.📆 Agenda

In this talk we will take a deep dive into how we setup and train our guided generation system for our upcoming game Prologue: Go Wayback!. Our guided generation system allows creative people to design rough outlines of levels which then create landscapes which retain natural features. This allows us to generate near-infinite varied landscapes but still include creativity from level designers (and even players!). We will go over data preparation with pysheds, training with hugging face diffusers and shipping to users with ONNX.Speaker
