Details

Workshop
In this hands-on workshop, we'll refactor a typical data science notebook into a well-structured Kedro project, exploring its core features and workflow and software engineering best practices.

Speaker
Merel Theisen
Merel is a Principal Software Engineer at QuantumBlack, where she is currently the tech lead of Kedro, an open-source project part of the Linux Foundation. She has over eight years of experience in the software industry, with most of her career focused on backend product engineering. She is passionate about building products that solve real user problems, and she cares deeply about creating robust, well-tested software that follows good engineering principles. She is also a strong advocate for open-source software, and she finds working with the community to be both inspiring and energising.
