Coqueta: A Spanish-Inspired Culinary Journey by Michael Chiarello
Nestled on Pier 5 along the vibrant San Francisco Waterfront, Coqueta is a celebration of Spanish cuisine and culture brought to life by award-winning Chef Michael Chiarello. Inspired by Spain’s renowned small plates, or tapas, and the lively social energy of its dining traditions, Coqueta offers a dining experience that feels perfectly at home in San Francisco—a city with its own rich ties to Spanish heritage.
Administrative Trivia
The menu, crafted with care and creativity, showcases regional specialties from Madrid, Catalonia, the Basque Country, and beyond. True to Chiarello’s philosophy, each dish features the freshest local ingredients from land and sea, blending California’s bounty with the flavors of Spain.
Tapas shared family style.
Typical shared single plates are <$20 apiece. Large plates typically around $35.
Taxes and Fees
Dining in San Francisco has a sales tax (8.625%) and possibly an employee health mandate (5%), a tip (20%) may be automatically added because of the size of our party, even on individual bills. I usually add 30% to each raw bill adding individual dishes, which should include all of these, and round final payment to the closest dollar.
Given shared plates, we are likely to just split the bill evenly. (Alcoholic) drinks will be split individually. Please bring cash or use Zelle/Apple Cash.
