The tradition is to eat this cake for Epiphany day - and actually for the whole month of January. More than eating a great cake, it is about to "tirer les rois". In the iconic cake, there is a charm (originally a bean) in and the one who gets it gets the crown, and then gets luck for the year! Wanna experience it?
