đŸ˜¶â€đŸŒ«ïžWhat is unpleasant? Working with pain, challenging emotions & thoughtsđŸ«Ł
**đŸ˜¶â€đŸŒ«ïž Working with Pain, challenging emotions & thoughts đŸ«Ł** *"Karma, or destiny, is an expression of a beneficial law: the universal trend towards balance, harmony and unity. At every moment, whatever happens now, is for the best. It may appear painful and ugly, a suffering bitter and meaningless, yet considering the past and the future it is for the best, as the only way out of a disastrous situation*." (Nisargadatta Maharaj) **"Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional" is a popular phrase. Most people on the spiritual path face at least at some point pain, challenging emotions and other potential obstacles. On the flip side, there are fascinating practices that focus on working with pain, other 'unpleasant' appearances as well as thoughts and regard them as highly valuable objects to develop insight and other qualities.** **Let’s share for an afternoon about Pain, thoughts, challenging emotions and potential obstacles, what they means for us and what their role may be on the spiritual journey.** *“If we give in to our habits of avoiding discomfort, we transform conscious pain (mostly emotional and psychological) into unconscious cramps. [...] We instinctively contract away from acute pain, but that ironically ensures chronic suffering. [...] Suffering is an inappropriate relationship to pain. And by reversing that relationship, we can relieve our suffering.”* (Andrew Holecek) đŸ’« **What this event offers for you:** - Guided Meditations for arriving, calming the mind and tuning into your intuition - Meeting people interested in spirituality (all levels) - Safe Space for sharing - non-hierarchical and non-judgemental - Opportunity to ask just about any question **👀 You may watch one or few of the following Videos for inspiration:** - Mingyur Rinpoche on Meditation with pain ([Youtube](https://youtu.be/f7NEiKkdwq8?is=jcVU-h5Mp1TpA_H7)) - Shinzen Young on Meditation with Pain ([Youtube](https://youtu.be/5IU6UbRbJvQ?is=OBEhyU-QVGon1uWl)) - Testimonial of a Student of Shinzen Young on an experience of meditating with pain ([Youtube](https://youtu.be/MBI3CRqiSAo?is=tvfB9NUtU8xh9jmu)) - Andrew Holoczek on Reverse Meditation on the Sounds True Podcast ([Youtube](https://youtu.be/_WPP5GL-3-0?is=O4xOxLUnnrf4EDuE)) **About the Organizer** Martin is a certified Mindfulness Teacher, Systemic Coach, Yogi and Altruist by heart who teaches Meditation and Martial Arts in different formats. However, in this meetup Martin focuses on the altruistic intention to open a space for people to share while offering as much facilitation as needed in the moment. "*A personal problem cannot be solved on its own level. The very desire to live is the messenger of death, as the longing to be happy is the outline of sorrow. The world is an ocean of pain and fear, of anxiety and despair. Pleasures are like the fishes, few and swift, rarely come, quickly* *gone. A man of low intelligence believes, against all evidence, that he is an exception and that the world owes him happiness. But the world cannot give what it does not have; unreal to the core, it is of no use for real happiness. It cannot be otherwise. We seek the real because we are unhappy with the unreal. Happiness is our real nature and we shall never rest until we find it. But rarely we know where to seek it. Once you have understood that the world is but a mistaken view of reality, and is not what it appears* *to be, you are free of its obsessions. Only what is compatible with your real being can make you happy and the world, as you perceive it, is its outright denial. Keep very quiet and watch what comes to the surface of the mind. Reject the known, welcome the so far unknown and reject it in its turn."* (Nisargadatta Maharaj)
The Quiet Hour - Women's Circle
The Quiet Hour - Women's Circle
**The Quiet Hour** is a two-and-a-half-hour guided journey for women — a space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and experience the power of shared presence. When we speak about healing in this space, it is not limited to one dimension. It can touch the emotional, mental, and physical layers of our experience. The intention is to create a moment where the body can soften, the mind can quiet, and we can reconnect with a deeper sense of clarity and alignment within ourselves. During the evening, we guide you through meditation, visualization, sound, and gentle energy work. The vibrations of sound help the body release tension, while the guided visualization invites you to reconnect with the life you wish to create and the deeper intentions that live within you. Together, we also explore the power of identity — the understanding that the way we see ourselves shapes the life we experience. When we reconnect with our inner strength and authenticity, we begin to move from emotional chaos toward a more grounded and stable foundation within ourselves. At **SheWhoRests**, we believe that every woman carries immense strength within her. Yet even the strongest among us needs connection — someone who believes in our dreams, understands our struggles, and holds space for our journey. That is why community and connection are an important part of this gathering. Through gentle sharing and simple exercises, we create moments where women can feel supported by one another and remember that we are not walking this journey alone. The intention of The Quiet Hour is simple: to offer a space where you can pause, reconnect with yourself, and leave feeling more grounded, more understood, and more supported in your journey.

Come along, grab a coffee, shut up, and write! We will do at least two sessions of each 45 minutes of writing and two breaks. We will start the first writing session at 11:15. **For space reasons, we are limited to a certain number of attendees, so please update your RSVP if you can't come**. We often have a large waiting list, and not updating your RSVP or not showing up if you do RSVP yes means that others miss out. We also ask that if you do change your RSVP, do it with reasonable notice. Thanks! We typically take over all of the cafe, but try to share tables if you can to allow space for other customers. If you are new, come and say hello, as we know that suddenly going quiet for 45 minutes and staring at that blank page can be intimidating when it's your first time. We have a lot of long-term regulars who will be happy to help you feel welcome. In between sessions, we have a Telegram chat: https://t.me/joinchat/ERW3pxD5kfELGeWs9SUhjw For more information, visit [https://shutupwrite.com](https://shutupwrite.com/).

Evening of Meditation - Reacting vs responding in relationships
Evening of Meditation - Reacting vs responding in relationships
Join our weekly Evenings of Meditation, to gently meet yourself, dissolve stress and live life from beautiful inner states. These gatherings are not just about meditating on your own, but a step inward we take together. Each time we’ll look into a particular topic in the light of timeless wisdom, reflect on it in a guided meditation, do powerful Oneness practices for greater wellbeing, and receive Deeksha - a phenomenon that helps to speed up your inner growth. For more information see: www.onenessberlin.com **This week's topic: Reacting vs responding in relationships** Often, we find ourselves being reactive in all kinds of relationships - whether with family, partner, friends, or colleagues. It deteriorates the quality of our relationships, and with that the quality of our experience of life. Let’s explore together what can help us shift from reacting to responding, and how this shift can transform our lives. **How to join** **[Get a ticket starting from € 5 >>>](https://momence.com/Oneness-Berlin/Evening-of-Meditation/133759137)** Walk-ins are also welcome for €10 paid on arrival, it's just for us to pay for the space. You’re welcome, no matter your background or experience. This is what has worked for us over many years and we love to share it with you. Looking forward to see you, Oneness Berlin Florian and Jazgul

Traumasensitive Meditation, 1 h – Denizen Coworking
**Meditation – One Hour of Presence (All levels) by STUDIO B (https://www.studio-bewusstseinserfahrungen.de/)** This one-hour meditation session is suitable for beginners as well as experienced practitioners. We begin with a short and gentle breathwork exercise to regulate the body, calm the nervous system, and bring attention inward. This prepares the transition into meditation. This is followed by a 15–20 minute introduction to the meditation practice. During this phase, I explain the core principles of meditation and assign each participant a personal meditation task, tailored to their individual level of experience. The intention of this part is to create clarity, inner orientation, and a sense of safety for the silent practice. We then enter a first phase of silent meditation. After approximately 15–20 minutes, the silence is intentionally interrupted by a short walking meditation. This is not a break, but a conscious transition that integrates the body, releases restlessness, and deepens presence. Afterwards, we return to silent meditation. Each participant practices independently with their personal instruction, within a calm and supportive space. This session invites you to cultivate presence, quiet the mind, and either deepen an existing meditation practice or begin one in a grounded and accessible way. **Open to all levels. No prior experience required.** Payment is for the room. \*\*\* Session structure - **duration: 60 minutes** **1\.
Was "volles Potenzial" bedeutet, ist subjektiv.
Chitta Walks - Awareness in Motion
Chitta Walks - Awareness in Motion
Chitta Walks is for people whose days move fast, while the mind never fully lands. Thoughts keep looping even when nothing is urgent. The body moves, but attention is elsewhere. Over time, this disconnect drains clarity and ease. This walk is a simple reset. We meet in Berlin’s Tiergarten and walk at a gentle pace. Parts of the walk are in silence, with light guidance and a few short prompts. The walk itself is the practice, bringing body and mind back into the same moment. No apps. No performance. Just a clear space to slow down and notice what is happening. If you want to slow down without withdrawing from life, join a Chitta Walk. ✹ **What to expect (approx. 90 minutes):** * A short arrival and orientation * A guided silent walk (phones off, no conversation) * One concise science-based impulse on attention or stress * Optional reflection in pairs or small groups * A simple takeaway or experiment for daily life đŸš¶**Who this is for:** * Professionals, creatives, and people in transition. * People who feel mentally busy and want more clarity and balance. * Those curious about mindfulness, but grounded and practical. * Anyone comfortable with silence and gentle self observation. 🔔 **Practical notes:** * Duration: 60-90 minutes * Wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing * No prior experience needed * Group size is limited to keep the space quiet and focused 🧭 **Facilitator:** My name is Partha Sarathi, you can call me PS. I have lived in Berlin for over 12 years. With a background in physics and materials science, my interest in mindfulness grew through personal experience with stress and health challenges. I facilitate the space and structure of the walk, inviting shared exploration rather than instruction. đŸ€” **Why Chitta Walks?** Chitta is a Sanskrit word referring to the mind or field of awareness, used here in a practical, non-religious sense. Chitta Walks is about noticing how the mind works by slowing down and walking together. Mindful walking makes thought patterns visible in real time, while moving and sensing in the world. The name points to a simple capacity: noticing what is happening in the mind without immediately trying to fix, judge, or optimize it. 🌿 **Possible effects:** A calmer nervous system. Clearer attention. A felt sense of being more present in your body. Subtle insights into how your mind reacts under everyday conditions. A quieter, more grounded way of moving through the city. **Come as you are. Walk. Notice. Leave with a little more space inside.**

You try to focus, but you're blocked. You try to look forward into new experiences, new relationships but a cloud is hanging over you, casting a shadow on what you once considered a bright, cheerful future. What happened to your courage? Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them
Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them
This is an in-person meeting. Did you know that unwanted emotions like loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, anger, fear, anxiety, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not chemical imbalance in your brain due to some nebulous chemical reactions by chance. Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you. The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life. For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues. So how do you remove the huge load that was already there? How do you lighten them up? Is it possible to get rid of them? That is what this meeting will be all about. Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life. Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there. This group is created by the Dianetics and Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
Want to Truly Heal from Emotional Trauma?
Want to Truly Heal from Emotional Trauma?
Why are we unhappy? Where does emotional pain come from? Studies show that people who suffer from long-term emotional pain have painful experiences in their lives that were never fully resolved in their mind. In other words, there were issues in the past that were not completely dealt with. This can include abuse in childhood, breakups, divorce, death of a loved one, to name a few. How do you know whether you have gotten over something painful? Here is an easy test: Do you still have attention on what had happened to you? For instance, do you still find yourself thinking about something painful that you went through? If you are, then you are not over it. In fact, in severe cases, people find themselves playing a "tape" in their mind over and over again. So how do you heal from your past? How do you stop the "tape" playing in your mind? In this meeting, you will learn a technique to help you with that. Come join us! Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there.
