About us
Formerly known as Munich Social Activities Meetup Group.
Purpose of This Group
This group exists to create intentional spaces for human presence, reflection, and inner movement.
Through my events, participants are invited to slow down, notice themselves more clearly, and encounter others without performance, pressure, or expectation.
The focus is not on fixing, healing, or producing emotional outcomes, but on offering conditions where insight, clarity, or connection may arise naturally — or not. Both are equally welcome.
Who Should Join
This group is for people who are curious about themselves and how they show up in connection with others. You do not need to be experienced in personal growth or self-reflection, only willing to take responsibility for your own pace, boundaries, and participation.
It is especially suited for those who value depth, presence, and thoughtful conversation over constant stimulation or emotional display.
Why Join
In a world that often rewards speed, explanation, and emotional intensity, this group offers something quieter:
- Structured spaces that respect choice, pacing, and silence
- Conversations and prompts designed to foster self-awareness without pressure to disclose
- Experiences that value self-regulation, reflection, and earned intimacy
- A setting where ambiguity, discomfort, and non-closure are tolerated rather than resolved
You may leave with insight, perspective, or simply a sense of steadiness. Nothing is demanded.
Who This Group Is Not For
This group may not be a good fit if you are looking for:
- Events where sharing personal stories is expected, rewarded, or escalated
- Spaces where participation is measured by how much or how deeply you disclose
- Formats where emotional expression is encouraged as a default or ideal
- High-intensity vulnerability, group processing, or cathartic release
- Social environments driven by constant interaction, stimulation, or reassurance
In earlier phases of my work, sharing was more central and often expected.
This is no longer the case.
Current events are designed to respect privacy, choice, and containment.
Silence, listening, and non-disclosure are fully valid forms of participation.
About Other Groups
You are welcome to join my other Meetup groups as well. Please note that I currently do not have the capacity to organise events in those groups. They remain open for future possibilities when time and energy allow:

Icebreaker #37 - Meaningful Conversations
Z'sam, Theresienstr. 63,, Munich, DEPeople come to Icebreaker once out of curiosity. They come back because of a conversation they couldn't stop thinking about.
One of our most loved events, Icebreaker brings you into a small group of strangers for an evening of surprisingly deep conversation. The group stays together all night — no rotating, no rushing — so talks can go somewhere real. People regularly leave feeling lighter, energised, and a little amazed at what opened up.
The conversations are guided by over 300 prompt cards across 12 categories — designed to spark honesty, bring out your quirky side, and take you somewhere unexpected. Whether you end up in a philosophical debate or laughing about a shared memory you didn't know you had, the prompts have a way of making connection feel effortless.
Come as you are. Leave with something real.
A sneak peek on the prompts:
- What's your guilty pleasure?
- Would you rather be slightly late or super early?
- How did you meet your best friend?
- What do you regret not doing when you were younger?
- What's something you disagree with about the way you were raised?
- If you could switch places with your friends for a day, who would it be?
- What one accomplishment are you most proud of?
Contribution: €10 donation, cash or PayPal, upon arrival. All proceeds support room rental.

The Backwards Walk: Reverse your steps, reawaken your senses.
Olympiasee-Brücke, Rudolf-Harbig-Weg, 80809 München, München, DEWe spend our lives moving forwards — toward the next thing, the next goal, the next moment. This walk does something deliberately different.
For one hour, we walk backwards. In pairs. Taking turns to move and to guide. It sounds simple. It isn't — and that's exactly the point.
When you can't see where you're going, something shifts. Your attention sharpens. Your body wakes up. You become — perhaps for the first time in a while — genuinely present in the moment you're actually in.
The experience is equal parts unsettling and liberating. Most people laugh. Most people also surprise themselves.
How it works
We open with 5 minutes of solo backwards walking — finding your footing. Then we pair up and rotate every 10 minutes across 4 rounds. One person walks backwards while the other guides. Then you switch. Four rounds, four different partners, one shared experience of navigating the unknown together. The guiding role is as interesting as the walking role. Being responsible for someone else's path asks something of you too.
The conversation
Afterwards, we settle in for a 60-minute moderated conversation. We'll explore what the experience stirred up: trust, disorientation, autopilot, and what it means to move through life when you can't always see what's ahead.Expect honesty. Expect a little laughter. Expect to leave with something to think about.
What to bring
💧 Water or a drink to rehydrate
🧺 A picnic mat or towel for the conversation session
🥨 A snack or Brotzeit for afterwardsPractical details
- Wear flat, comfortable shoes with good grip
- Walk begins at 12:00 — please arrive by 11:45
- The walk is in English
Please only participate if you are comfortable with mild physical disorientation. If you have balance conditions, vertigo, or joint issues, consult your doctor before joining — or come along and guide without walking backwards yourself.
Weather Policy

- Cancelled only in heavy rain or snowstorm
- Updates will be posted the day before and/or morning of the event in the comment section
Event fees: Free to join. If the experience was valuable, a contribution via PayPal of whatever feels right is welcome.

The Brisk Walk: Move with purpose, arrive somewhere new.
Deutsches Museum, Museumsinsel 1, München, DEThere's a tempo that's too fast for a stroll and too slow for a run. That's exactly where we walk.
Brisk walking is one of the most quietly powerful things you can do for your body. It strengthens the heart, lifts mood, sharpens the mind, and — done consistently — is one of the clearest markers of long-term health and vitality. Not because it's extreme. Because it's sustained.
This is a 60-minute brisk walk along the Isar — green, open, and paced for purpose. You're welcome to walk alongside whoever feels right, and to change that whenever you like. Before we set off, we'll take a moment to set that intention together. The conversation while walking is there if the pace allows. If it doesn't, that's fine too — the real exchange happens afterwards.
How it works
We walk together at a steady, continuous pace — not a stroll, not a race. Who you walk with and for how long is entirely up to you. We pause a few times along the route to let the group catch up, then continue.Afterwards, we settle for a 60-minute moderated conversation. A chance to come down from the pace together, notice what the walk stirred up, and connect with others who showed up for the same reason.
Some people come for the movement. Some come for the conversation. Most leave having needed both.

Auf Deutsch, bitte. — Ein Gesprächsabend für Nicht-Muttersprachler
Z'sam, Theresienstr. 63,, Munich, DEAuf Deutsch, bitte.
This is the first event I'm hosting entirely in German — and if you know me, you know what a big deal that is. I've been running this group for three years in English, quietly convincing myself my German "wasn't quite there yet." Well. Here we are.
I'm a reluctant German speaker who might — finally — be ready to step out of her comfort zone. And what better way to do that than to host an event about exactly that: speaking German when it's uncomfortable.
As the event will be in German, it only felt right that the description should be too. So here goes…
Sprache: Deutsch (was sonst?)
Was erwartet dich?
