Sunday Walk **Maribyrnong River Trail** This week we are heading over to Melbourne’s second largest river, the Maribyrnong. Here we’ll discover a popular, wide-open, walking trail alongside the picturesque banks of this old Melbourne trading port. At the halfway point, we’ll stop for coffee on the lawns of the Boathouse Cafe. **Start**: Footscray Park, Myers Rd, Footscray. **Start time**: 9.00 AM. **Parking**: Park in The Edgewater carpark, on Myers Rd. Parking is free. **The Walk**: The walk is the well-formed walking trail along the riverbank. We’ll walk as far as the Boathouse Cafe, stop for coffee and return by the same trail. **Total distance**: 5.6 km. **Time**: Allow 2.0 hours for the walk, plus half hour for coffee.
