Mi pasión por el básquet no se detuvo aquí, así que después de 8 años como jugador federado, quise ver el básquet desde otro prisma. Este, me llevo a trabajar de forma autónoma como arbitro en la Federación Catalana por mas de 4 años sobre las distintas regiones de Catalunya. Ahora, como profesional de la salud y el deporte con mas de 13 años de experiencia en el sector y tras mi regreso a Barcelona después de estudiar un postgrado de entrenamiento de alto rendimiento, crear esta escuela de básquet junto Alexis, es uno de los proyectos mas emocionante que he tengo en mi ciudad natal.

¡RUTA DE SENDERISMO E HISTORIA! El **mítico Rec Comtal**, la acequia que desde época romana ha llevado el agua hasta Barcelona, tiene un punto de **origen escondido y poco conocido cerca de Montcada i Reixac.** Entre los últimos **campos de cultivo de Barcelona** (finca la Ponderosa) y el barrio de Vallbona, el más alejado del centro de la ciudad, se esconden algunos rincones verdes donde la **acequia todavía discurre al aire libre llena de agua fresca y limpia.** Os proponemos pues, una ruta guiada en la que recorreremos el tramo inicial y mejor consevado del Rec Comtal, para conocer este reducto natural de Barcelona y su historia. También **pasaremos por los barrios de Vallbona y Ciutat Meridiana**, lugares que como decía el escritor Paco Candel, forman esas zonas donde la ciudad cambia su nombre. Como siempre, todas nuestras rutas **cuentan con las explicaciones de un guía licenciado en Historia por la UB**. Éste es nuestro **PLAN:** 1. Encuentro en la salida del Metro de Ciutat Meridiana (L11). Recordad que para enlazar con la L11 tenéis que llegar a Trinitat Nova con la L3 o L4. Calculad bien el tiempo de desplazamiento para ser puntuales. 2. Iniciamos ruta por las calles de Ciutat Meridiana y Vallbona, los barrios más alejados del centro de Barcelona. 3. Seguimos la caminata por el sendero paralelo al Rec Comtal, cerca del río Besós, el parque fluvial y los huertos de la Ponderosa. 4. Visita exterior de la Casa de les Aigües y el Reixagó, punto de nacimiento del Rec Comtal. Explicaciones históricas. 5. Acabamos en el casco antiguo de Montcada i Reixac, hablando de su pasado modernista y de veraneo. 6. Regreso en Rodalies a Barcelona ¡Anímate! ¡VISITA EXCLUSIVA! La comunidad de **monjas cistercienses** de Valldonzella **nos abre sus puertas para mostrar su monasterio modernista**. Además, lo haremos **durante el atardecer**, para poder contemplar la luz de la tarde en el precioso claustro y vidrieras modernistas de la iglesia. En esta ocasión, hemos conseguido que la congregación nos tenga preparada una visita al **único recinto monástico modernista** existente en Catalunya. Accederemos pues, a un recinto en el que en muy pocas ocasiones personas ajenas a la comunidad tienen acceso y pueden disfrutar de la belleza de **su claustro** o iglesia. Situado en la zona de la Bonanova, y muy cerca de Collserola, el actual edificio es obra del arquitecto Bernardí Martorrell i Puig, en el estilo más moderno de la época, el actualmente llamado “modernismo catalán”. Es un estilo con reminiscencias del arte medieval, y en su interior, podremos observar algunas pinturas medievales que guarda la comunidad. También, nos explicarán **anécdotas y curiosidades de la historia del monasterio** y de las vicisitudes de la comunidad en el marco de la historia de Barcelona de los últimos siglos. También hablaremos de cómo es hoy en día la vida en un convento de monjas y a qué actividades benéficas se dedican. Y es que en el precioso recinto, todavía vive una comunidad de monjas dedicada a la oración, el silencio, y el trabajo; que ha sido testimonio de la historia de nuestra ciudad. Os proponemos pues, una visita muy peculiar, única, y que pretende descubrir una joya del arte modernista prácticamente desconocida. ¡Anímate y siéntete un verdadero descubridor/a de Barcelona! Join us for one of our favorite hikes this Tuesday (4/21/26) at 6:30 pm as we hike the Hoover Dam Scenic Trail, starting at the west end of the dam. This hike includes some paved paths/roads along with some dirt trails, with a few beautiful views of the reservoir. if you’re **tired of doing the same boring thing** every weekend, this is your excuse to **do something different.** This is **not just a comedy show.** It’s a full **Saturday night experience** at Shadybowl Speedway — a **BYOB** potluck cookout, **live racing,** a late-night **bonfire**, open mic **comedy under the stars**, and **free camping** if you want to stay the night. We’re basically **throwing a party in the middle of nowhere** — about an hour west of Columbus and an hour north of Dayton ### The experience **Start early with the cookout** Come out around **4:00 PM** for a potluck-style cookout. This is open mic style, so you might catch comics traveling through, a local favorite, somebody trying stand-up for the first time. **Over time I'm hoping to organize a hike to all the Franklin County Metro Parks. This is the first one so if you're interested jump in!** **We'll start with the Canopy Walk, a cool feature of this park. Climb 100 stairs to the top - or take the elevator if stairs aren't your thing. At the top there are a bunch of things to play on - a rope bridge, a fireman pole that we can slide down - and more! About fifteen minutes there and we'll head to the natural trail, Buttonbush, Maple and Beech Trail for 2.2 miles then do a 1.7 mile loop on the paved Greenway Trail. We'll be passing our cars as we transition if you only want to do the first loop, or the second loop.
