[Hiking Series]M'sia-Trans Panti (531m): Fun Day Hike via Panti Timur
[Hiking Series]M'sia-Trans Panti (531m): Fun Day Hike via Panti Timur
**\*If interested, please whatsapp** [wa.me/+6588842635](wa.me/+6588842635) **or +65 8884 2635! Sign-ups *are only confirmed after contacting us and joining the WA group! \**** Gunung Panti (531m) is one of the most popular and famous hikes in Malaysia due to its distance from Singapore (1+h) being at Kota Tinggi. It is often used as a training mountain for most Singaporeans. There are a few different trails to Panti summit, this time we will do one of the Trans Panti route via Panti Timur, which is a different route up and down the summit versus the beginner route. While we will still go past the steep vertical wall face near the summit, there are other unique checkpoints like the 'Transformer' rock, 'red blood pool' and the 'human face rock'. While not as short as the normal Panti route, it is definitely more interesting and serves as a good almost full-day hike, similar to other training hikes or longer duration hikes like Lambak Butterfly/Trans Angsi etc, enough for you to work out a sweat and feel like you need good food to replace all the calories you've burnt =) **Who is this for?** * It is most suitable for those who wish to experience a hike that's decently challenging yet isn't too long or tough like Ophir, but longer than the other 'beginner' hikes * Suitable for those who have done Panti but wish to explore the other routes * For those who wish not to take an overnight bus * A decent Malaysia hike with its various elements (forest, mud, logs, vertical wall face, leeches(?)) * It serves as a good training or progressive hike * If you wish for a bit of thrill in using your hands and legs to climb down either the ladders or rock wall **Hike Details** Summit: 531m Total Distance: 13km Duration: \~6-9h Elevation Gain: \~707m **How many pax for the trip to happen?** Minimum **12 pax** to start the trip! **Estimated Itinerary: (Saturday**) \~5.30 am : Meet @ Marsiling MRT 6.30 am : Breakfast/Head straight to start point 8.00 am : Start Hike 12.00 pm : Panti Summit 4:00 pm : Descend back to the base, wash up. 5.00 pm : Leave and head to R&R 5.00 pm – 8.30pm : Free & Easy if there's time, if not head back to Singapore. ***Itinerary is subject to changes based on conditions and group speed and trek leader's discretion*** Price: $140 Price includes: 2-ways Transport All associated Park Permits/ Fees Local Guides LMT Trek Leader Price excludes: Travel Insurance All Personal expenses/Meals Visa Application (if any) Other personal expenses This event is organized by LITTLE MONSTERS TRAVEL PTE LTD Travel Agent Licence No: 03117 Contact : +65 88842635 Email: info@littlemonsterstravel.net
[Hiking Series] M'sia - Bukit Kutu (1,053m): Fun day hike with great views!
[Hiking Series] M'sia - Bukit Kutu (1,053m): Fun day hike with great views!
**\*If interested, please whatsapp** [wa.me/+6588842635](wa.me/+6588842635) **or +65 8884 2635! Sign-ups *are only confirmed after contacting us and joining the WA group! Permits are hard to obtain so we'll have a cutoff date, so first come first serve!\**** Bukit Kutu (1,053m) is one an extremely popular hike just further north (1.5h) of Kuala Lumpur at Kuala Kubu Bharu, famous for waterfalls and getaways for the city hustlers of KL. Bukit Kutu is also known as Treacher Hill and was a former hill station during colonial times. The summit offers great views of the surrounding region and is very similar to Gunung Datuk, where the summit is on top of boulders. The hike itself is not technically very difficult and is slightly longer than Datuk but quite similar, do expect your shoes to be wet due to the river/stream crossings! We're looking to do a good day hike and aim to go back to Singapore by Saturday night. **Hike Description** There are some river/stream crossings at the start. The total duration is \~6h of hiking and \~12km in total, with around 800m in elevation gain. Do note that there are no toilets or wash up area at the start of the trail/end of the trail! So please clean up before getting on the bus and we will head to the R&R. **We are aiming to do this in 1 day and be back in SG by Sat night, so this will be a fuss-free hike only itinerary! The focus is on hiking at a good pace!** **Who is this for?** => People who wish to hike similar to Gunung Datuk/Angsi but not too challenging => Wish to do a decent full day hike => Wish to enjoy somewhat decent weather while hiking => Looking for a fuss free hike only itinerary, go for a solid hike in Malaysia and back to SG to sleep It serves as a good training or progressive hike for those who wish to do more hiking especially if you have done Gunung Datuk and is aiming for something similar. Most do it as training for other treks, like Kinabalu, or Nepal. Do note that we are looking to start early and descend by around 4-5pm, so we will have cut-off time. Prepare your own meals also! ***How tough is it/How fit do I have to be?*** The trek is around 6h, but can be 4h or less if you are faster. This is slightly longer than Datuk, and easier than Ophir, and the terrain is similar to most Malaysia hikes. It is generally tropical forest trail, with river/stream crossings, steep parts and ladders near the summit. **Minimum pax** Minimum 12 to start the trip! Once confirmed, a Whatsapp group will be set up and info-kit sent out. Estimated Itinerary: **\*Timings to be confirmed\*** \~10.30 pm : Meet @ Marsiling MRT 7:30am: Stop by for breakfast before reaching start point for Bukit Kutu 8.00 am : Start Hike 11.30am : Reach Bukit Kutu summit (have your own packed lunch) 12.30 pm : Descend 4.00 pm : Reach back base and depart for SG (dinner along the way) 11.30 pm++ : Back in SG ***Itinerary is subject to changes based on conditions and group speed and trek leader's discretion. Please expect that you will reach back SG past midnight!*** Price: **$ 150 SGD per pax** Price includes: 2-ways Transport Guides All associated Park Permits/ Fees LMT Trip Leader Price excludes: All Personal expenses/Meals Visa Application (if any) This event is organized by LITTLE MONSTERS TRAVEL PTE LTD Travel Agent Licence No: 03117 Contact : +65 88842635 Email: info@littlemonsterstravel.net Some additional questions: 1. How long is the ride to Bukit Kutu A: It can take 7-9h from Singapore 2. Why are we not staying overnight? A: This is so that we can save money on accommodation/driver cost. Also, we wish to be able to spend Sunday with family/friends/sleeping in Singapore, so we decided to spend Sat night travelling back than Sunday instead. 3. Are there shower or toilet facilities at the trail? A: There isn't, so this means bring your own wipes and toilets are all "natural". Don't worry we will stop by toilets before and after the hike. 4. What do I have to look out for? A: Trees, Logs, leeches sometimes, depends on the weather. Also, make sure to have firm footing and go steadily during the river crossings! 5. Where are the meals (breakfast/lunch/dinner?) We might stop by breakfast if there is enough time, if not it'll be at the R&R. Lunch is packed by yourself/on the go during the hike. Dinner might be a quick one at the R&R when we wash up, but if everyone is fast we can have a good dinner!
