What we’re about
Welcome to our Humanists Australia community in Melbourne (Naarm).
We have reimagined an exciting new program of events for 2025 entitled … ‘Hands on Humanism’. If you are looking for inspiration on creating a purposeful year ahead, then why not play a hand in advancing this local community of Humanists? Our new team invites you to meet up at one of our regular monthly face-to-face events in and around metropolitan Melbourne. Join us to discover WHY a Humanist way of life can lead to a flourishing future.
Humanism is quite simply about being a good human and creating a fulfilling life. We explore shared values that promote personal growth, well-being, and ethical engagement with the world from the micro local level to the macro global level. Together we explore one another’s unique personal potential and the collective power of Humanism to shape all our lives for the better. See details of Events and please JOIN US this month. You can also join the Humanists Australia meetup group for online discussions and presentations on Humanism.
Humanists Melbourne is a Community of Humanists Australia, and those who come to our meetups are asked to adhere to the Humanists Australia Code of Conduct. We do not allow harassment of any kind, or promotion of any goods, services or groups unrelated to Humanism (except by prior permission of the organisers).

Welcome to HUMANISM and COMMUNITY - our next ‘Hands on Humanism’ event for 2025.
Our goal is to explore humanism and community, why it matters, how it benefits individuals and society. Please join us for this opportunity to share personal reflections on humanist values and community. What aspects of being part of community are more important to you? How can we best fulfil our need for community in our lives?
WHAT this workshop offers: Are you looking to create new ways of thinking about yourself, your values, and your purpose? Do you want a deeper understanding of Humanism and how it can inspire personal growth, social connection, and ethical living for everyone? Join us for an interactive workshop delving further into the overall philosophy of Humanism. Discover how our Humanist vision and values can transform our way of living.
We encourage participants to join Humanists Australia to benefit from the range of national events and talks, and support this charitable organisation. We ask participants who are not members of Humanists Australia to contribute $10 (or $5 concession) - please bring cash or donate online - for events to help cover venue costs.
