Meaningful Work - The art of work is a work of art!

Details
Welcome to our next 'Hands on Humanism' event for 2025. Designed to blend the elemental ingredients to formulate a solution for meaningful work. Our QUEST is to unravel the mystery behind the current meaning crisis. Aiming to weave our diverse perspectives into a coherent, purposeful life stance.
We begin with an overview of why our Life's work plays an integral part in our whole human story. This journey together spans the different generations, as we recall the many ways life, work and play have changed within our lifetimes. We invite you to bring your own stories of work that’s fulfilled you—whether in the office, at home caring for loved ones, or out in the community. With space for storytelling, reflection, and creative thinking, you’ll connect the dots between personal fulfilment and collective impact to envision the future world of work you wish to craft.
This is an opportunity to explore our capacity to contribute in worthwhile ways by becoming creative, collaborative and courageous problem solvers. In a world where so much time is spent productively working, people are increasingly seeking roles—paid, unpaid, or passion-driven—that genuinely align with their values and vision for life. Together, we’ll explore how to transform your ideas into a force for good by strengthening community, improving wellbeing, and caring for our home planet and for one another.
Through a guided ideation process within a structured framework of seven essential questions, you’ll conceive big or small ideas that align with your unique purpose, talents, skills and personality—be it launching a personal project, supporting a volunteer initiative, dreaming up a collaborative campaign or working on an interesting future event. We welcome your enthusiasm for experimentation!
Humans often have an instinct to contribute to the greater good. By demonstrating how an innovation system works, we can build a bank of ideas designed to inspire and motivate us on this Humanist adventure through our inner and outer worlds.
Workshop Facilitator: Jennifer Crossland is a Social Innovator and Creativity Coach. With a background in Economic and Community Development, she managed a successful innovation centre for business incubation in the UK. Utilising her experience as a qualified Buzan trainer in Mind Mapping, she has long been drawn to the human power of IMAGINATION. These joined-up, visual thinking skills guide people in navigating their direction in life and work. Jenny's focus is on transforming vision into action.
