Strengthen your French through focused practice in our regular Saturday Drill Sessions: Interactive events designed to help learners master some of the most challenging and frequently used structures in French.

These sessions are free and open to everyone, whether you are a member of The French Club, or simply looking for a supportive environment to practice and improve your French.

These sessions take place on Saturday evenings from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm (New York time) and are open to any number of participants. Anyone motivated to improve their accuracy, confidence, and fluency in French is welcome to join. These sessions are generally most useful for learners around the A2 to B2 levels, but all motivated participants are welcome.

Each session focuses on one specific area of French that learners often find difficult. Over time, we hope to explore eight key topics that frequently cause confusion or hesitation in real communication. The sessions will rotate through themes such as:
• French past tenses, especially imparfait and passé composé
• Direct and indirect object pronouns
• Affirmative and negative questions
• Sentence structure and word order
• Common verb patterns
• Useful connectors and transitions
• Expressions of time and sequence
• Other high-impact grammar points used in everyday French

Format

1st part — Participant introductions

Share your first name, location, current level or goal, whether you’ve taken a class or attended an event before, and a few words about your French journey. Each participant has up to 2 minutes (a gentle stop at 2 minutes and a half).

2nd part — Summer 2026 Information Session

Overview of A1–B2 calendars, formats, pricing, placement, and enrolment steps.
We will also cover:
• Upcoming French immersion programs in Canada & France
• The A1-B2 courses and the community platform (frenchclub.net)

We are introducing a new subgroup within our community: The Immersion Club.

This group is designed for individuals who want to move from learning French to experiencing it in real-life contexts — through travel, extended stays, and guided immersion experiences.

In this session, you will discover:
– What a true immersion experience looks like beyond tourism
– The different paths available to live in a French-speaking environment
– How to prepare, both linguistically and practically
– What daily life actually feels like during an immersion stay
– The types of immersion experiences we are developing for members

The Immersion Club is open to all adults aged 18 to 75.

We will also provide dedicated support for participants aged 50 and over, with a focus on clarity, comfort, and confidence throughout the experience.

This is not just about visiting a place — it is about stepping into a different way of living and using the language.

You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and determine whether this initiative is the right fit for you.
