{FREE} Professional Networking Mixer
Details
We’re moving to a new venue for May and moving forward and I’m excited to host this month’s mixer at Villains Brewing Company in Downtown San Diego.
This is a casual but professional networking event for people who want to meet other ambitious, friendly, and interesting people in San Diego, whether that’s for business connections, collaborations, referrals, career growth, expanding your circle or just getting out of the house!
A quick note:
This is NOT a dating event or singles mixer. There is plenty of that on meetup ;) The focus is professional and community-oriented networking.
A lot of people come solo, and the goal is to make it easy to walk in, meet people organically, and leave having had a few genuinely good conversations.
## How it works
When you check in, you’ll get a name tag so people know you’re part of the networking group.
I’ll also ask:
- what industry you’re in
- what kinds of people you’d like to meet
- what you’re working on or looking for
Throughout the event, I’ll do my best to introduce people who should know each other. The whole point is to make networking feel more natural and less awkward/random.
Some people come looking for:
- new friends in the city
- professional connections
- collaborators
- referrals
- mentors
- job opportunities
- business partners
- just a good conversation after work
All are welcome.
The only thing I ask is that people keep things respectful and professional. Hard-selling people or treating the event like a pickup scene tends to kill the vibe pretty quickly.
## Venue
Villains Brewing Company
903 Island Ave #15
San Diego, CA 92101
Great patio, great atmosphere, good drinks, and a really solid setup for mingling and conversation.
## Event Details
Tuesday, May 13th
4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Free to attend
## Who comes to these?
Usually a mix of:
- founders
- creatives
- tech people
- recruiters
- remote workers
- entrepreneurs
- marketing & sales professionals
- people new to San Diego
- and generally just friendly, motivated people
You definitely do not need to “be good at networking” to come. A lot of attendees are new and come by themselves.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there.
