Adventures, Arts, Activities, Recreation with events in Vancouver, Burnaby, Coquitlam, New Westminster, Port Coquitlam - We are a - Social Club - Make new friends - Brunches, Lunches, Dinner, Hiking, Walking, Arts and Entertainment, Games, Bowling, Sports, and Adventures.
The Encore Meetup is a group of mature adults from East Vancouver to Port Coquitlam (North of the Fraser). Most events will be in East Vancouver, Burnaby and the Tri-cities. Most members are 45+, but we don't set age limits. All ages are welcome!
Our intention is to form friendship and community by sharing ideas, knowledge and laughter in a fun and social atmosphere. We can meet for lunches, dinners, coffees, low impact activities, and anything that interests our members.
Tell us what you want to do. Our goal is to form an interesting and dynamic group.
Membership Requirements:
* $10 MEMBERSHIP FEE – per 6 months: Meetup charges organizers over $600 a year and more than double that for organizers to have access to member information. Please e-transfer $10 to Kristi or pay in CASH (due after you attend your first event). We reserve the right to bump you to the wait list if your membership fee has not been received, to allow paid members first dibs. Renewals are due on your anniversary date.
* PROFILE PHOTOS: must include a recent head shot photo, no sunglasses/other people in the picture and your real first name (and last initial). This is part of our safety policy so that we can recognize our members at events.
* No Shows: Organizers are volunteers and take time to plan and run fun events. Please be respectful to organizers and fellow members. Two 'No-Shows' will result in removal from the group.
• RSVP’s: Keep your RSVP current. Please remove your RSVP at least 48 hours prior to the event if you are not going to attend. Failure to keep RSVPs current can result in others not being able to attend and can result in problems at the restaurant or venue.If you are sick, please do not come to events.
* Attendance Requirement: Please attend an event in the first month after joining. Members are considered inactive after 3 months of not attending any events and will be removed from our group.
If you are wait listed, please be watching if someone who is attending cancels. When a member changes their RSVP to "no", you are automatically moved up as "attending" without receiving any email notification. Please be watchful as you might miss out on the event.
(We reserve the right to move the group to another platform after Feb 28, 2026 but intend to continue meeting. The majority of events will be between Sept 1 and May 30 with few events happening during the summer.)
