Action Item: Write the Iowa City Council a short letter

Details
Hi everyone,
The Iowa City Council appeared to be receptive to our in-person comments at the meeting on May 7th regarding the horrors of puppy mills. They mentioned that they would be speaking with the Cedar Rapids City Council about their proposed ban on the retail sale of pets.
NOW is the time to keep up pressure on the IC City Council! Please write a short (or long) letter expressing your views on puppy/kitty mills, and your opposition to selling puppies and kittens in retail stores because those stores source from mills and keep those institutions in business.
Your letter can be personal or fact-based. It can be 3 sentences or 3 pages, but please send it to all the email addresses below before the evening of Monday, July 1st. It should take only 15 minutes of your time, and it will really make a difference!

Please email to ALL addresses below, which include the City Council address as well as the emails of each individual Council Member -- and please sign using your full name (a requirement to be included in official City Council correspondence):
council@iowa-city.org, rockne-cole@iowa-city.org, susan-mims@iowa-city.org, mazahir-salih@iowa-city.org, pauline-taylor@iowa-city.org, bruce-teague@iowa-city.org, john-thomas@iowa-city.org, jim-throgmorton@iowa-city.org
(Your name will be available to the public along with your email correspondence. If you do NOT want your email to be included in the public City Council agenda packet, please just email the individual members and leave off the council@iowa-city.org address.)
Lastly, please comment in this event when you've sent your letter so we can share in the motivation and enthusiasm!!
