Working With Schools& Climate Justice

Details

Join us in our September Forum when we will be looking at some of the projects we are involved, find out more and perhaps even take part.

  • We will be looking at our partnership with others to help schools develop climate action plans. We have already had 9 volunteers to be climate school ambassadors and four schools who want to pilot this
  • We will also look at how we expand the schools programme to other schools across Enfield.
  • We will be discussing a possible project to look at how we adapt to climate change and what can be done to involve our most vulnerable communities.
  • We will look at how we can create more climate change awareness within the wider communities of Enfield and how we can work with others to develop a carbon literacy programme
  • And finally we will discuss how important it is to place our local activities into a global context as climate change challenges us across the globe.

Lochlan Atack from University College London will tell us about how he is working with four schools in Edmonton to develop climate Action plans with the help of nine volunteers from EnCaf
Hali Healy from the University of Birmingham will tell us about a joint project we plan to do with them around climate justice that helps our vulnerable Enfield communities adapt to extreme weather from climate change
