Sacred Song Circle

Details

I am advertising this event on several websites, so there are more persons attending then it shows on this meetup site.

Join us for a gathering held regularly, where we come together to sing sacred songs and chants from a rich tapestry of cultures and spiritual traditions. Our repertoire includes songs from Buddhist, Jewish, Christian, Sufi, Hindu, and Native American traditions, as well as popular songs with spiritual messages and even original compositions shared by participants. Songs are sung in both English and their original languages, embracing the beauty of diversity.

In addition to singing, we’ll create space for a talking circle, where everyone is invited to share from the heart—though there’s never any pressure to speak.

Our Intentions
These gatherings are designed to:

  • Cultivate a group spiritual practice.
  • Foster community and friendship.
  • Celebrate the unique contributions of many cultures, religions, and perspectives.
  • Contribute to world peace and harmony through shared music.
  • Enjoy the simple joy of singing together.

This is a collaborative experience where all voices are welcome. We emphasize singing from the heart rather than focusing on technical perfection.

What to Expect

  • We’ll chant short phrases from songs, poems, or prayers (about 4–8 lines) for 5 minutes or more.
  • Enjoy melodies without words, blending familiar tunes with spontaneous creations.
  • Participants are encouraged to bring instruments to enrich our collective sound.

If you’d like to share a song, please send the lyrics in advance or bring printed copies for the group.

There are no fees for this event.

This event is organized by David (Dahvid) Zirin. My address is 2710 E. Emile Zola Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85032.
