School is back in session, which means it's a great time to get together to share some knowledge at at roundtable in Philly! This is a great opportunity to meet other engineering leaders in our tech community, and spend some time getting nerdy about the craft of leading engineering teams.

This time around we'll be talking about tech debt and tech strategy. We can have a conversation about how to "look back" and account for shortcuts in the past, or how to "look forward" and develop a plan for advancing technology for the organization. We may focus more on external visibility and framing technical investments, or we may focus inward on the operational tricks to get things done.

As usual, we'll start by soliciting specific discussion topics, so everyone should come prepared with a question, upcoming challenge, or a challenge that they've solved in the past. The month's topic is meant to be a springboard, but anyone can bring a pressing topic if it yields an interesting discussion.

Drinks and dinner will be provided so that we're fully fueled up and ready to think and discuss. We'll spend the first 15 minutes having a bite to eat and saying hello. For those interested, some of us will grab a drink afterward nearby to continue the conversation.
