Philadelphia Roundtable (and Happy Hour!) - Hiring engineers

We're coming back to the Perpay offices for another engineering leadership roundtable in Philly! This is a great opportunity to meet other engineering leaders in our tech community, and spend some time getting nerdy about the craft of leading engineering teams.

This time around we'll be talking about one of my favorite discussion topics: hiring. We might talk about some new challenges in the current environment like dealing with AI-assisted applications and interviews, navigating the current market, or assessing on new technologies. We might also cover classic challenges with hiring like sourcing, interviewing or closing.

As usual, we'll start by soliciting specific discussion topics, so everyone should come prepared with a question, upcoming challenge, or a challenge that they've solved in the past. The month's topic is meant to be a springboard, but anyone can bring a pressing topic if it yields an interesting discussion.

Drinks and dinner will be provided so that we're fully fueled up and ready to think and discuss. We'll spend the first 15 minutes having a bite to eat and saying hello. For those interested, some of us will grab a drink afterward nearby to continue the conversation.
