Local SDLC Series - How Kolla uses ShapeUp to build products

Details

We are back!!! And we are in person!!!Engineering Leadership Utah is kicking off our first event since covid! We are starting a new series called Local SDLC (software development lifecycle) where we learn about a local company and deep dive into their operations. We will look at how they decide what to build, how they hand off to engineering, what tools they use to build and deploy, and how they monitor and update their software.

For our first round of Local SDLC, Clint Berry from Kolla will be showing us how they use ShapeUp methodology (from basecamp) to build their products. He will go over some of the reasons they love ShapeUp, and some of the places it can be hard. He will show how they use Notion and Linear to manage the process, and go over some of the tech stack and deployment process.

We hope you enjoy this series and come get ideas on how you can build better operations at your business! We plan on doing a meetup in this series once every quarter or so, and will still continue having meetups focused on all sorts of leadership topics, not just operations.

It’s good to be back!!!
