Applications are now open for round 2 of TARA, a free, part-time technical AI safety program for APAC.
After expanding from two to six cities this year, TARA is targeting 12 for its September to December 2026 cohorts.
It's for people who want to test their fit for technical AI safety work without travelling overseas or pausing their job or studies. Weekly Saturday sessions in your own city, drawing on the ARENA curriculum: transformers, mechanistic interpretability, RL, evals, and alignment science.

ā 60% of surveyed 2025 graduates secured a fellowship or AI safety role within a year (9 of 15 tracked)
Graduates have gone on to fellowships including MATS, SPAR, LASR Labs, Algoverse and EleutherAI, and to roles at the Australian AISI, ASET, Lyptus Research and EquiStamp.
