SPEAKERS
🎤 Marko Velić
Marko Velić is the Director of Engineering at Photomath. Before joining us in 2021, he worked in London as the Engineering Manager for Facebook’s Ads team. Prior to that, he was Head of Data Science at Styria Media Group in Croatia and an AI consultant for LEGO. He obtained his Ph.D. in Machine Learning from the University of Zagreb in 2014 and completed an MBA program in 2017. He was also a university professor and lecturer for several courses on software engineering and machine learning. Marko is the author of multiple scientific papers and patents regarding pattern recognition and computer vision, and he’s won several international awards for innovative development from companies like Microsoft, NVIDIA, and more. His interests include engineering management, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and related fields.
🎤 Miloš Kolarić
For nearly two decades, Miloš Kolarić has worked as a software engineer in diverse organizations, from startups to corporations, using various programming languages and technologies. He has also refined his skills through self-driven and entrepreneurial projects, like developing the information system for a Belgrade laboratory. He’s tackled challenges in e-banking, ticketing, marketing, and gambling, and he’s left his code in companies around the UK, France, Switzerland, Sweden, and the Island. Oftentimes known to lead various-sized teams while simultaneously writing code, he finally left coding behind at HOOLOOVOO, a software development company in Belgrade, where he started as a Senior Developer but is now an Agile Lead, leading the company's largest autonomous team. Most importantly, he’s the father of a boy and a girl, a heavy metal lover without long hair, and a drumming enthusiast.
🎤 Ivica Vrančić
Since 2005, Ivica Vrančić has been a consultant, lecturer, trainer, and individual- and team-coach for senior managers in Croatia and abroad, focusing on leadership and people management. He is the founder of Verantius, a company that provides human resources and management development services and consultancy. He spent almost fifteen years in the corporate world, primarily leading Human Resources and Development in companies like Coca-Cola Beverages Hrvatska, British-American Tobacco, and DHL. Ivica is a lecturer for Cotrugli Business School’s MBA and Executive MBA programs, teaching human resources, people management, and leadership. He graduated from the University of Zagreb with a psychology degree and completed a post-graduate program at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development in London. He also holds a certificate in the Goleman Emotional Intelligence Coaching Certificate. Ivica’s book, And People?, was published in 2015 (Technics Publication, New Jersey).
