Indonesian Independence Day Experience (for English Class Students)

At 10am on the 16th of August we will hold an Indonesian Independence "Freedom" Day** Celebration for all of our past and present English Class Students of all nationalities from around the world.
Join us for this engaging and fun event where you can practice English with native speakers and fellow learners in South Melbourne. This will be a friendly and welcoming event for our past and present English Class Students.
Make new friends through themed "Freedom" activities, international cultural food (bring a plate), an interesting talk about what this Indonesian day of freedom is all about, and what freedom means to those who want to be set free.
What you will need:
Please bring a plate
Dress in red & white - traditional colours - if possible :)
What will happen:
*Shared International Meal
*Fun Independence Day Games
*We will have a speaker talk about what Freedom means to Indonesians and to Christians.
*Making new friends from our English Class
**Pesta Rakyat is officially celebrated on 17 August 2025.
This event is hosted at 552 City Road in a church which started in Indonesia.
