Hola y bienvenidos(as)! I am an English teacher with over 10 years of experience teaching English as a second language. I am Brazilian and lived in Ireland for more than 5 years. I have a CELTA certificate and a passion for teaching!
This is not a language exchange group!
People of all nationalities are welcome to join! This is a great opportunity for you to meet other people and improve your English conversation skills, and at the same time appreciate the beauty of Valencia and the beautiful weather we have here!
Every week we will do different activities and I will bring conversation topics for us to discuss and learn new vocabulary and also improve your fluency. We'll keep the groups relatively small so that everyone gets to speak. All you need for the classes are a notebook, a pen, and a desire to improve your English!
I will be organizing our groups on whatsapp so that I can give you little challenges throughout the week and also share any important updates.
It is important that the groups have a similar level of English, so that the class is good for everyone, so for that reason I will be messaging you or calling you before your first lesson so that I can get to know you and your English level a bit better. :)
The fee to join the group lessons is just €6 for each lesson, or €20 per month. We will be gathering near the Alameda station in Turia once a week (we might change locations to somewhere nearby in the case of bad weather or something like that).
SUMMARY:
- This is a group for English lessons.
- The classes are regular and happen once a week.
- The classes are entirely in English, but don't worry if you have a low level of English, it is still possible and mi español no es perfecto pero puedo comprender casi todo que me preguntes!
- This is NOT a language exchange group. Our meetings are always entirely in English (of course you are all free to hang out together afterwards!)
- I will always provide the material for our meetings. You don't need to buy books or anything like that!
- The course focuses on improving your listening and speaking. It is great if your job requires you to speak in English a lot, interact with the public or to give presentations in English.
